Sustainability
Driving carbon neutral, sustainable business practices is good for you, us and the planet
Changing workstyle
We want to change from being stuck in one location with a commute, superflous resouces and limited accessibility, to being able to work anywhere efficiently and affectively.
Global connectivity
using technology means we can work on your case anywhere in the world.
Working online
Moving away form the office centered work model benefits clients with lower costs and more efficient processes. It also means we are in contact for more than the usual 9 to 5 office hours and are responsive to urgent needs.

KIWI@HOME immigration Advice are long established NZ immigration law experts who have always seen the value in thinking outside the box to provide creative solutions to our clients' immigration matters. We see the natural extension of this as moving away from the fixed office style to being able to work effectively and efficiently wherever in the world we are, and our clients are.

While there is a lot of talk about SDGs and ESG and so on, and we get the urgent need for these initiatives, we simply feel that moving away from an office building based service delivery model and using existing technologies as well as exploring emerging technologies to constantly pursue effciency just makes sense. The New Zealand Government systems are well set up for this working approach already, so making a commitment to a flexible and fluid work system leverages this without compromising on anything.

What we do

We prepare, process and manage all types of visa applications for clients from all over the world, including New Zealand. We also do appeals and PPI responses for when things go wrong and visas are about to be declined or clients are about to be deported. By acting for you on your immigration case, elements of chance are greatly reduced and the chances of success are improved. When a series of visas are required on an immigration pathway, like residence, then we also manage the in-between stages so you remain eligible or become eligible for the next stage according to the plan of the pathway.

As immigration is essentially treated like any other part of the legal system in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that all applicants take advantage of professional representation. Courts in New Zealand will often allow defendants to represent themselves in their case, but when you care about the result, you should always engage a professional. Engaging a licensed immigration adviser to handle your application through all stages means that your case will be as strong as possible, and also if Immigration New Zealand act unfairly or with bias, then we can bring pressure on them to make the correct decision.

Sustainability in Advisory Services

As immigration advice consists of using our knowledge, skill and experience to make successful visa applications and appeals against unfair decisions by INZ, there are many ways we can reduce our carbon footprint or maximise sustainable development. We believe that the biggest barrier is the mindset that matters of immigration law must be managed in a tall office building by suit-wearing professionals aided by a vast library of legal references. We feel this idea has become a bit out of date and professionals can do their job effectively anywhere.

Immigration Law

Licensed immigration advisors (LIA) are professionals in NZ immigration law. All LIAs must be licensed and most are qualified. An LIA does the same job as a specialist immigration lawyer, the main difference being that the LIA qualification is much more detailed than the single immigration paper that law students study at university, and LIAs only practice immigration, not other areas of law as lawyers can do.

Efficient Business Practices

We are committed to using technology where possible to reduce or eliminate processes that are wasteful or not really necessary. The New Zealand government fortunately has been moving systems online for some time and there is an infrastructure already in place which allows us process visa applications, appeals, PPI requests and almost every other aspect of immigration work from anywhere with an internet connection
