Visa applications

We handle all types of visa applications from visitors, work visa, residence, business, partnership and so on.  Profsisonal representation for visa applications is similar to when you engage a lawyer to handle a court case for you. We deal with the immigration authorities directly on your behalf and make sure you are protected and your interests represented. The New Zealand immigration system treats visa applications like a minor legal enquiry, which is very different to many countries in the world where visa applications are a simple matter of presenting your passport with the application fee to get the appropriate stamp put in.

Our professional service for each visa application includes:

  1. finding out as much as possible about your situation with regards to immigration, so we can,
  2. match the appropriate visa type for your needs and apply for the one that you will meet the criteria for
  3. assist and advise you with any changes you need to meet criteria
  4. assist and advise you with collecting supporting evidence
  5. fill out the application form and craft the application with appropriate supporting evidence and cover letter
  6. submit the application and manage the process
  7. deal with Immigration New Zealand as necessary. This may include such things as:
    1. responding to information requests
    2. arguing points of law
    3. clarifying complex issues
    4. escalation to higher authority
  8. Once a decision is made we communicate this to you, explain any important visa conditions, and so on.

The difference and value with a professional service is that it includes all the work above, not just filling in the form and submitting it. Agents and other unqualified or unlicensed people will often charge a hefty fee for just filing out the form and submitting it.

Many people misunderstand that the application form is most if not all of the visa application. In some countries this may be true, but on average we fiind the form itself is less than 10% of everything that is needed for a solid application. Many famous last words were "Oh the application is an online form, that looks so easy". Any application form is easy to fill out, you just need to input your details and answer the questions, and anyone can do that to some extent.  Applications are not usually declined because of problems with the application form though, applications are declined because of problems with evidence or not dealing with problems properly when they arise, or before.
